Menopause is a time that brings physical, emotional and psychological changes. As women navigate this life stage, lifestyle choices play a pivotal role in shaping health.  

This year’s World Menopause Day theme is lifestyle. In this free webinar, we explore how a healthy lifestyle can improve your physical health, reduce health risks, and boost your mental health during menopause.

Clinicians and researchers will explain how menopause impacts your body and share practical advice on healthy lifestyle changes that can help you manage menopause and improve wellbeing.

Clin Prof Amanda Vincent

Amanda is a clinician-researcher combining clinical practice in menopause with menopause-related research, translation and education. She is Head, Early Menopause research, MCHRI, Monash University and lead endocrinologist in the Menopause and Menopause Oncology clinics at Monash Health. Amanda is an AI at CRE WHiRL and a lead researcher on the Ask Early Menopause and Ask Heart Health app.

Dr Samantha Kozica-Olenski

Dr Samantha Kozica-Olenski is a Research Fellow and Research Coordinator at the Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI), School of Public Health, Monash University. She is a clinical dietitian with more than 15 years’ experience across public, community and private sectors. Her research focuses on improving menopause and pregnancy service delivery, preventive health care, and women’s experiences to optimise health outcomes.  

A/Prof David Scott

David Scott a NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow with the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. His research focuses on the epidemiology and management of sarcopenia, osteoporosis and obesity in older adults. He leads clinical trials of exercise and nutrition for optimising physical function and independence during ageing, and his recent work explores the role of digital health in supporting older adults to self-manage musculoskeletal health conditions.
